Details:
NIKBCON, as a subconsultant for GENIVAR Inc., was responsible for the complete electrical design (SD - DD - CD), and also supervised the electrical installation, testing and commissioning during the construction phase. The Data Centre is designed to provide up to 1,550 kVA of UPS power in a parallel redundant configuration with 3 * 900 kW Generator in parallel, supplying standby power in case of a power outage. The total power supply (incl. mechanical systems) is 3.0 MVA. The main substation consists of a dedicated 25 kV BC Hydro incoming service. The main electrical distribution is 480V. The main, oil filled transformer is located outside. Design included intensive trenching and concrete encased ductbanks for both, power & communication.
